Introduction

Rochester Jay Lodge No, 639 is a subordinate lodge of the Order of Knights of Pythias, a fraternal order founded in 1864.

Members of the lodge have the opportunity to help others who are in need, build new friendships and participate in various social events, and will be eligible for many benefits.

The lodge delivers Thanksgiving baskets to the needy. It is a major sponsor of the annual Cystic Fibrosis walk.  The lodge also sponsors scholarships at the Hochstein School and donates to many social agencies.

The annual social activities include picnics, a dinner-dance, and open meetings with interesting speakers.

Among the benefits, Members are eligible for a free cemetery plot in Whitehaven Memorial Park plus an option to purchase additional graves at reduced prices.

Children of members are eligible to compete for a Grand Lodge scholarship.
